Splash park hours extended in Grande Prairie

Hours have been extended from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at both of the city of Grande Prairie’s splash parks this week to beat the extreme heat.

With the heat advisory in effect, the City has decided to give residents more opportunities and time to enjoy cooling off at the Muskoseepi and Lions Park splash parks.

Both areas have other amenities like playgrounds, shaded treed areas, picnic tables, and washroom facilities.

Hours will be extended until the upcoming holiday Monday, August 1, and then return to 11:00 a.m – 8:00 p.m. at Lions Park and 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Muskoseepi.
